They fought with the brothers and countrymen of their compatriots in the United States to help fight the Japanese malignancy that is their ancestral land in the Pacific war. On their 80th birthday they decided to make a breakthrough by providing full support to LAPD Deputy Chief Terry Hara to become the next Chief Police of the Los Angeles Police Department’s. Other than that chief deputy Hara is a descendant of Japanese citizens that is also an exemplary and respected figure, Deputy Chief Hara has a complete background that can be used as added value in the context of his nomination as LAPD’s next Chief. It is this factor that underlies why the Japanese American Citizen League fully supports the candidacy of Deputy Chief Hara for the position.
