@naval8viator i read somewhere, that the pilot and co-pilot were in a fight with the hijackers (the pilot was alone with one of the hijackers, the co-pilot was locked out of the cockpit, i guess he came back in forcefully to help the pilot controle the airplane)… the pilot then lost his bearings and that’s why the left wing hit the ocean first.
It would be interesting to know why the captain decided to take such a fast approach and whether or not a gust of wind rolled his plane to the left as he touched down. 200 knots is well above normal landing speed and they should have been very very light without any fuel left. Had he not been so fast and a so far rolled over this could have been a very different outcome. Does anyone know if there were external circumstances that led to this final landing configuration?
when the plane crashed, and the live jacket just help you by not letting you sink.. but when water is around you, and you on the ceilling of the plane, u cant swim but drown..
