@machfron i agree
the narator sounds upset or bored! lol
don’t discriminate against swiss planes they all fucking crash eventually
when you get a degree in statistics and actually understand what the hell you are talking about then call someone an idiot.
i have driven a car approx 4x7x365x30=280,000 times and i have been on a plane about 20 times.
statistically as far as i am concerned cars are safer than planes. i am an average person. are u ? work it out .
when we start flying 280,000 times in our lives THEN we can start to compare.
I actually think cars are probably safer than planes (even western airliners) simply on a statistical analysis basis, although I am not a statistician, but even at a gut level (which can be the most accurate sometimes) I never think I will die in a car with a sensible driver but whenever I get on a plane I am, let’s say worried
Halifax swiss airplane crash was very fucked up. Im sorry for the people who died.
Not sure why the “idiot” comment was deserved? Anyway….The air plane to car ratio (world wide) should explain it all. Of course more car accidents are reported. There are a million times more cars than air planes. (just being facetious)
Again…I can’t stress this enough. I’m right.
Planes are no safer than cars.
@levey then your an idiot hundreds of people die everyday in car related accidents how many people die commercial airliners a day ?
I think my point was this.
“Planes are not safer than cars, or any other means of transportation.”
The argument is moot.
Do the math. It would take 23,000 years if you flew on one plane everyday.
Have some respect idiot ! 229 ppl died!
force of impact was “in the order of at least 350 g”
Well… at least the fire was extinguished.
2:34 Tristar = Engine built into fuselage
MD-11= Engine mounted on tail
Can’t you tell the difference?
its fake.
Neither would help you in a crash like this.
What I see in 2:35 is a Tristar 1011, not an MD11.
Terrible accident. RIP for all those who perished.
@sideslide23 Wrong that’s Miami
Geez…. There are only 8000 to 13000 airplanes (world wide) in the air on a daily basis. This doesn’t include military planes.
However. There are approximately 600 million passenger cars (not including trucks, etc. )worldwide on the road every day. That’s roughly one car per eleven people around the world. (old stats)
Still…Do the math. Planes are not safer than cars, or any other means of transportation.
actially it depend on whare you live, because in L.A., they have the most highest Car Accident in the U.S. than any place in the U.S.
why do they show a tristar instead of an md-11 in 2:36.
bad bad!
Compare the ways that a car and an airplane can fail , you will see that cars usually fail more.
fair enough mate. good luck parachuting down from 30,000 plus feet;) oh yeah and the life jacket might actually soften the landing right? after all planes always crash in water. hehe, jokes bro! take care and good luck w ur theory
Yes , but not in evry plane , intelligent people buys a ‘parachute’ and a ‘life jacket’.
umm hello….yes its true that there r more cars crash when compering to an airliner. But tell me, how often ppl die out of an accident when in a car? only a small percentage. yet when an airplane crashes, ur almost cartain die, and w hundreds at a time.
Totally true , tell me how many planes crash in a year and how many CARS crash in a year , let’s see differences!
