Donald Sullivan says the Constitution gives us the right to travel the public highways, and he shouldn’t be charged or regulated for simply exercising his right. You might be surprised to hear a judge ruled in his favor. Sullivan said, “I can govern myself. And America is about self-government.” “If a person proves he’s responsible, leave him alone, he can govern …

    This Is IT
Getting a drivers license from the state doesn’t mean Anything.

By taking a DMV test and them giving you a license, you are contracting with them to obey their RULES not Laws.

So technically, if you get into a wreck and you have a drivers license, the DMV is responsible Legally because they gave you-permission-in-the-form-of-a-license-to-drive.
BUT if they can prove you broke one of their rules you agreed to, then YOU are responsible.

    Simply refuse to contract.

  4. Notblinded says:

you need to look up the term automobile, because on that one, you are wrong. You need to look up a LOT more as far as I can tell. Go do the research before you try to tell people the law.

  5. HomeBoyCharlotte says:

If this guy can do it, so can I.

HE and I and WE ALL HAVE THE SAME EQUAL RIGHTS

  6. idahoman325 says:

doesn’t the main chunk of using this type of argument based on the truck being your home or some kind of glitch ? And addressing it as a car or automobile ?

  7. xxECLIPSEPBxx says:

you have to be very carefull when or if you try this, you CAN NOT use the words driving, car, automoble, those are all LEGAL terms which state that you are driving, not traveling, we have the right to travel, its a privlige to drive

  8. r125 says:

how’d he do it? details of the case??!

  9. robpriv75 says:

    Hero.

  10. isair81 says:

This is just classic reporting, first they show the guy who stands up for his rights, and wins.
Then they have the attorney play the part of the establishment telling you to get back in line.
What he’s telling you is that while Donald Sullivan may have won this fight, the state remains all powerfull, so don’t you get any ideas!

  11. deletethefed says:

the fact is statue law may prohibit such proclivities but the supreme law of the land is the constitution, if i didn’t hate dealing with cops and courts id do the same thing this guy did hell i might just do it when the fascist real id is forced upon me

  12. rorycalhoun08 says:

if its good for one it should be good for all… id like the case number and county, since this is all public info, also the attorney at the end needs to find a new field, he is a liar… we have a right to travel google right to travel and you will see court decision after court decision proving this.. our gov. needs a wake up call…they are public servants not masters…

It’s not that I don’t think the government has gone too far.

For example, I don’t think the government should be able to force people to wear seat belts or helmets. I also think so-called DUI checkpoints are unconstitutional.

You should be able to do anything you want so long as it doesn’t impact others negatively.

However, when you can impact other people or society, then I believe the government should be able to regulate and set standards.

  14. MrGovtCheese says:

    In the info section:

“A Pender County man who refuses to get a license plate, registration, or insurance on his truck.

Donald Sullivan says the Constitution gives us the right to travel the public highways, and he shouldn’t be charged or regulated for simply exercising his right.”

Whether he has insurance or not he is advocating for people to be able to choose not to carry it.

  15. TheTruthHurts732 says:

MrGovtCheese where does Mr. Sullivan or the reporter state that he doesn’t have insurance?

  16. jsmythib says:

Its my own responsibility to make sure I know how to drive, and have a safe operating vehicle. I might agree to a law requiring I carry insurance in case I hurt someone else…maybe the same policy i use to make sure the mailman is covered if he slips on my unsalted steps. As for me? Ill protect myself from you..thankyou

  17. johannesgrimm says:

The shyster said “the state has a right… to require a license” BS. States don’t have rights. They have powers. A license is the state-granted leave to do something that’s otherwise illegal.

  18. MrGovtCheese says:

You wouldn’t be able to afford insurance if people were allowed to drive around without insurance, license, or registration.

You think your rates would remain the same if everyone started doing what this guy is doing?

Driving around with no registration, license, or insurance is a every hit-and-run or drunk driver’s dream. Some of you peeps need a reality check.

Chalk up a small victory for Freedom. Congrats to this true hero. Liberty is spreading.

  20. veritas911 says:

Then you sue him in civil court. If he has no assets, YOUR insurance policy will cover for underinsured motorists. State issued documents do not make you safe

  21. Realizalize says:

nothing better than two dudes of the same masonic chapter meetin` in court.

  22. anyusmoon1 says:

    lol so true.

  23. anyusmoon1 says:

Typical lawyer speaking out of both sides of his mouth. Notice he says, on the one hand, this case is pertinent to this case only; then a few minutes later on the other hand ‘the state has been challenged and upheld many, many times that….’ well how were ‘they’ upheld? By court cases, just like the one Mr. Sullivan was engaged in.

  24. mejesus says:

    Its called life.

  25. MrGovtCheese says:

Yea, everyone is cheering until someone with NO registration, NO license, and NO insurance runs into you. Then what.
