NBC Today show Travel Editor Peter Greenberg shows you how…

This is one reason I avoid United States airlines (with the possible exception of Continental) like the plague. Their values on food and hospitality are atrocious.

It’s no luck flying to/from Hong Kong. Their foods are sloppily prepared and disgusting

Continental serve pretzels…….

Dear All,
I have some question about psychology:
(1) Why do we feel that inflight meals are special?
(2) Why do we love to eat at 38000 feets high?
(3) What will inflight meals look like in 50 years from now?
(4) What will be the best food for commercial space travel?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!!

Emirates serve restaurant quality food, the Arab airlines in general and many Asian carriers are very very good, way ahead of their European and American counterparts.
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
The carriers wich one’s I see in your comment, they serving the U.S.A.
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
Avoid US carriers for the long haul and pretty much u are guaranteed meals/drinks and unlimited snacks.
If u looking for quality look no further than Qatar,Emirates,Singapore,Cathay Pacific in that order.
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
Arab airlines serve the best food.
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34

Flights out of Hawaii to the mainland U.S. still serve meals. Just to get from Honolulu to L.A. takes about five hours. In 2009, I flew on Northwest from HNL to Atlanta, from Atlanta to Tennessee, and from Tenn to Mobile AL in less than one day; had one full meal and two light meals.
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
i love airline food, and the last time i flew was with cathay pacific and it was bloody great, as was everything else
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
If both are good, they beat Air Canada, Air Transat and Aeroflot.
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
lol yeah – i agree with you!
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
Both are good =D
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
Singapore Airlines is better I think.
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34

Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34

@ xbxfilms, what rubbish saying that South Africa has a lot of parasites and diseases in their food. Perhaps you should venture beyond your own borders to see that South Africa has extremely high food quality (unlike amy other African nations) and where the food is just fine.
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
Yes but Iberia, Finnair and SAS Scandinavian Airlines charge you for the food.
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
That’s not what I’ve experienced in 4 brasilian domestic flights…
Jun 3, 2010 at 01:23:34
id much rather have a microwaved pie than eat airline food
