    DC-10 and MD (Mcdonald dougless) have bad reps n service history, never trust them with your life.

  2. JackClare1995 says:

    @sideslide23 Well no, they had a double birdstrike aswell didn’t they? I think. That’s why they ditched in the Hudson. An A320 can fly reasonably comfortably on 1 engine but the chances of getting a bird strike in both engines are very slim. The Captain of the A320 was very lucky, at least he could still control the engines

    @dxproductions100

    he was the co president of bierlien demolition in michigan where i am and was going to chicago to drive here asshole, get a life instead of judging people and calling them liars, i have the obituary if u want me to scan it and send to your faggot ass

  4. jinglesassy1 says:

    i would freaking hate to be a pilot on that flight no controls pretty much 2 of your 3 engines running unable to put gear down what a nightmare

  5. sideslide23 says:

    true because the bird siezed the 2 engine on the Airbus A320 operated by U.S. air and landed in the Hudson river. and the passenger wasn’t happy because they were soaked and wet.

  6. JackClare1995 says:

    @sideslide23 But Birdstrikes don’t only happen on McDonnel Douglas DC10 aircraft. I am glad you didn’t have a double bird strike, that would have been an interesting landing though, haha

  7. dxproductions100 says:

    @jonjonjon34 yea right!!!

    @jonjonjon34 yea right

    my uncle died on that plane

  10. HuasoPodrido says:

    @sideslide23 , Douglas built the airplane, the carrier choose the engines. Dont blame Douglas for a problem with the engine.

  11. offlimits2u says:

    DC 10 has had way too many accidents

  12. sideslide23 says:

    looks like there doing a big letter M.

  13. sideslide23 says:

    If you traveling by air any time and you see a DC10 at your gate don’t board it just run far far away, because in 1999 traveling back home from hawaii to San Fransisco, we hade engine number 2 failure so we turned around and headed back to hawaii, it was caused by a bird strike but I’m glad we didn’t loose any more engine or we would be swimming.

  14. crayz745 says:

  15. airtexaco says:

    Thank you for the verification of my memory. I thought I remembered something along those lines. I try to keep on top of aviation accidents and incidents. Sometimes I mess up the smaller details.

  23. kdraper2007 says:

    Yes, i remember reading that the throttle snapped to full throttle when #2 engine exploded.

  24. peteisnotneat says:

    Actually, I’m not positive, but if memory on this case serves me correctly, I think they pulled the throttle down in the documentary to show them shutting it down. That said, I think they shut it down, but could not actually pull the number 2′s throttle. I think it was jammed. But I’m not sure. Just repeating as I think I remember it.
