maybe a strong updraft of wind prevented the jet descending on it’s regular approach path. who knows?
@Carmarthan415
Yeah, what a dumb bitch!
this woman is so obnoxious…. my god, why did she survive?!
Things like this make me scared to fly, especially at this time of year. I just came back from Tunisia and had to fly with Air France. That plane landed without a problem even though there was ice and snow outside–CDG airport does a good job of keeping its runways clear. But during my Delta flight back to Georgia…it felt like that plane would run off the runway that everybody got worried. ATL needs to de-ice its runways better.
sorry late august
Sept 2005
Was this at Pearson in Toronto?!? When was this?!??
He shouldn’t of been suspended, it was mainly the weather that caused this and he saved the captain aswell so what’s the point.
0:47 “My laptop!”
Never heard of “fuck tech” wut planes o they use ?? CUM to think of it with a name like that I would not fly “fuck tech” either
Sort of indicates sum e thang was amiss during da approach ?? !! xxx
The Odd thang ’bout this flite is that even before the Thrust Reversers were deployed late, is that: 1) They landed halfway down the runway error 1 unt 2) They had a HED wind to increase TAS hence more lift ???? xxxx
Imagine Being Married to it, worse nightmare than Being on the Plane, at least there you escaped ALIVE !!!
Toronto weather is brutal at times, especially rain storms like this. The fact that everyone managed to survive makes it incredible
@Gohbori hehe , u just made me laugh… but fuck tech is the most safest way to travel
its the pilots responsibility to know the limits and performance capabilities of their aircraft.
I dislike those people who say “I dislike ‘Want to be experts’ and I have reports”.. anyone is able to retrieve the report add in, that you are contradicting your statement by saying you dislike “want-to-be experts” because you are being one. I don’t think experts would use such crude grammar and abbreviations.
I dislike want to be exprets
the plan was hit with the tali end of a micro brust causeing it to land hard and long and at a faster speed for that runway
sure if I was the incharge tago and divert but the pilots did not reason Air France would have fired them
revers thrust
dumb shit as soon as poss. I don’t think so
want are the dangers of engaging revers thrust above 80knt. oh yea some as small as a rock could be pulled into the engine and cause it to exployed
this doc is wrong
the Southwest Airlines at Midway happened after these one
they both happened in 2005 but these on happened 4 months before Southwest
if you want to argue I have both the NTSB and the CTSB reprorts
i tried with the better wilco 777 and a PMDG 747 still same answer no overrun
try it with PMDG “)
i tried this same test with the same airplane in that same airport with rain and snow and it’s possible to land after 12 sec on the ground but game is a game lolz
the co-pliot was the last one off the plane and helped the captain to get off the sit i mean aldo he didn’t use the revise thrust below 9 sec he still did a great job he but i really think it’s the ATC fault for giving the wrong runway i mean short runway+rain+heavy airplane cause an overshoot of runway try this land a 747 in a rainy day on a runway about 600m less and start revise thrust quickly you’ll still be overshot….
i always travel by horses.
i never fly fuck tech.
