How the Flight 90 Air Florida crew could have avoided disaster by mitigating or trapping the errors in the error chain which led to the crash in 1982. This is what we think they could have done. This video was filmed for a presentation on the human, techical factors and error chain which led to the Air Florida Flight 90 disaster in 1982. The presentation was made during the First Officer Fundamentals course at Oxford Aviation Training as part of the First Officer Airline Preparation Programme. Filmed & Produced by Mark Furness.

    Not bad fellas but I have never heard of the FO calling “abort”, Thankfully new CRM procedures have FO’s exercising their rights well before any situation like the simulated one here arrives in the rteal cockpit.
