Dirt Cheap Airline Tickets For Students

by Chris Campbell

It’s important for everyone to do some traveling in their lifetime. It makes us more worldly, and tolerant of other cultures. It often seems, that extensive world traveling only happens with the very young or very old.

Those people who have the most free time on their hands, seem to be the ones that do most of the traveling. Those people would be of course the ones without permanent jobs to tie them down. Mostly the pre or post college age crowd, as well as the retired crowd. Everyone else seems too busy.

Both of these types can really benefit from dirt cheap airline tickets, as they are often on fixed incomes. Either fixed by Mom and Dad, or the government.

Middle aged people are usually too busy to look for cheap airline tickets, and do a bit of traveling. Raising kids, paying bills, and commuting to work seem to occupy much of their time. While, it may not seem entirely fair, it does seem to be the way it is.

However, those groups doing the traveling really benefit from dirt cheap airline tickets in a number of ways. Usually, if you can spend less money on airline tickets, then it means you have more money to spend on other parts of your vacation. Nicer hotels, nicer restaurants, and maybe even a longer vacation to boot.

I’ve done enough travel in my day, to know how to find some discount travel deals. Dirt cheap tickets aren’t that hard to come by, if you know how, and where to look. Let’s have a look at a few tricks for getting the best prices on airline flights.

If your going on a vacation to relax, then maybe it’s a good idea to start relaxing a little early. By relax, I mean take a relaxed attitude toward dates. When you leave, and return, is not that important, it’s the being there that counts. Being a little loose on your dates, can get you cheaper tickets.

There’s another thing to watch for as well. When airlines overbook, they often ask people to give up their seats in exchange for free tickets on future flights. I always say yes.

Don’t be a procrastinator, when it comes to booking your vacation flights. Airlines don’t like procrastinators, but they do love people who buy their tickets early. And to show you just how much, they’ll charge you less money.

Say away from flying between Friday through Monday. That’s the busiest time at airports and for airlines. As a result of that demand for tickets, they can charge more money, and they do. Tuesday through Thursday is the least expensive times to get dirt cheap airline tickets.
