Good advice

I remember when the World Trade Center was attacked in 1993 b/c Eric, who was my husband then, made a comment that haunts me to this day: “The gov’t is just sitting around, not taking any preventive measures. One of these days, a major disaster will occur killing hundreds, maybe even thousands, of people. Then they’re gonna run around doing things and pretend the one in 1993 never occurred.”
He predicted his own death w/out knowing he was doing it.
That’s the main reason I can’t “get over it.”
People who buy into that lie are hopeless
What would you think about someone who told you that complaining about extra security makes them “angry,” b/c they believe TSA “has our best interest in mind; that they realize they made a little mistake of not doing so before and now they’re making sure they don’t make the same mistake?”
That’s what someone told me a few days ago. Before I decided she’s no longer worth being friends with.
She’s even angry that people complain about nude scanners.
She’s sure all this crap will stop terrorism.
They make no sense at all
Saves lives?! They’re too damn late for saving lives if you ask ME.
In 2001 at Christmas, I flew to Florida and saw all the security they had in place in the name of preventing attacks.
While I was putting on my seat belt, I said “See Eric. This is what you died for. So all these measures could be put in place when it’s too late.”
This lady looked at me like I was strange.
To me, no security measure will ever make sense, b/c I don’t understand why they didn’t do so when it wasn’t too late.
And yet, I wouldn’t be surprised if the chances of having a heart attack or something like that while on a plane are greater than the chances of being killed in a hijacking… So why the hell don’t they have doctors in uniform? XD
Not known for their sense of humour
One of the teachers I’ve had went through an airport once with a “W.M.I.: Weapon of Math Instruction” shirt on which a friend had got him… They didn’t like that.
