well frist thing planes get hit by lighting all the time while flying through storms and nothing happen, maybe it was a electric magnetic interference that screwed with the planes electronics.
hm…you must be joking or? But if, then very vad joke. I am flying all my life long – most of those flights on board of Airbus or Boeing. And i have to tell you all dangerous situations i ever witnessed were on board of boeing…not airbus…so i am not so sure about airbus as you are.
ah, people…again this comments about how bad is AF as airliner etc…no, definitively not. I flied with AF more than 50 times, without any issue or problem. Among those flights were long-haul-flights as AF 447 was one. Perhaps those, whose mean AF is worst airliner at all should try to fly by some asian or african airlines as i did…probably then you would change your mind…OMG…to fly with some of those companies is like russian roulette. AF is the greatest european airliner but not worst

The fly by wire configuration is redundant (triplicated). So the chances of all of failing is very low.

I agree with you 110% all the way. The Materials they put on the structures are extremely weak and chances of the wing structure breaking off during turbulence is 70%. I know this becuz I worked on an airbus before.
