@Trixtah well my POINT WAS that foreign airlines can’t control what india installs at their airports and think about it if they got to installing that radar then MAYBE it was possobile for this accident to be avoided !
R.I.P TO ALL THE AIR CRASH VICTIMS!
@bilalh20 Where did I say that NO airport in those countries have secondary radar – of course they do! But certainly not all of them, and there are well-established standards on ATC operations in those circs, which Delhi followed. And if you learned how to read, my comment about India and TCAS was about people whining about the planes not being equipped with it, and it being India’s fault. My POINT was that India can’t control what a foreign airline installs in their aircraft.
@Trixtah are you dumb or something where does it mention that india was told to install TCAS for the foreign planes and to be honest UK AUS USA are way more developed than india (no offence) AND THEY DO HAVE SECONDRY RADAR so i dont know what your on about there !
In Mutha Russia plane flies you
@simplefact4u There are hundreds of airports around the world which have very basic radar systems like these. And this includes countries like the UK, Australia and the US (the airports are generally smaller than Delhi, though). And they do rely on pilots carrying out accurate reports of their positions. Accurate reporting and 1000 ft separation are STANDARDS around the world. As for the TCAS, duh, no -Indian- plane was involved – or should India magically install TCAS in foreign planes?
@BDtheHeaven Have you heard a cockney speak? Talk about a mouth full of marbles. The English of every person on this show was perfectly intelligible, if you bothered listening and not assuming that everyone sounds like you.
@BlackBeastofAaaaagh Actually, it wasn’t that clear it was a comprehension issue. It seemed to be more about a lack of inadequate -cockpit- communication, where the radio guy didn’t get proper acknowledgment from the pilots that they had understood the instruction. The pilots were also doing their approach checklist, which should be done -before- descent starts, and were obviously not paying proper attention to the radio, because that was (in their minds, probably) the radio engineer’s job.
@gbilios It was quite clearly determined that the ATC was NOTgiving incorrect instructions. Did you not watch the doco? ATCs do not randomly swap between ground level altitude and sea level readings. 1000 feet of separation is the standard for air traffic operations around the world. The pilots of the Kazakh plane screwed up, it’s as simple as that. Secondary radar and TCAS might have avoided the disaster, but it was still their mistake.
Indians speak clearly… its is foreign language for us, but still when we talk its loud n clear to be understood. bloody idiots can uall speak, hindi marathi telagu etc so clearly ???
@simplefact4u its the organisation responsible for the ATC controllers to have the proper equipment and training..maybe he should have instructed the khazac plane to maintain 3000 ft above the saudi aircraft. was the ATC controller giving instructions to the wrong jets? maybe ‘coz he was relaying instructions to the khazac jet ground level altitude and the saudi jet mean sea level altitude reading – two distinct readings.
@riarai4u indian call centers are bad enough..
That is the point.. Also, the slovanic accents (Russian, Czech, Slovakian, Polish etc. etc.) of english language are considered as the most clear accents of all due to fact, that you can clearly hear all the letters they say.. As an example you can say Door, which in welsh accent sounds more like Doo´a, in slovanic accents that sounds like typical Russian Doorrr..
Though this disaster was not problem of any accents. They just misunderstood each other, that´s all..
@BDtheHeaven
What exactly is your definition of proper English? Which people do you believe are the gold standard? Even two Britishers can have a tough time understanding each other if they are from different regions. I think Mr. Higgins summed it up best “… Why can’t the English learn to speak.”
@simplefact4u
Proper equipment won’t do any good if people fail to follow proper procedure. The traffic controller had old equipment but a viable procedure built around it. The crew of the Kazakh airline clearly made a deadly mistake due to poor comprehension of spoken English.
I still see the ATC controller as the fault, Hence he didn’t have proper technology to put two jumbo jets on the same heading and with only 1000ft of altitude separation, He relied on pilots reports which none seems had TCAS device. Funny how indians screw things up then try to blame others.
@riarai4u
Word.
How this Indians speak english..seems something in their mouths….learn to speak english clearly…
@terencelai7 I was thinking the exact same thing… very strange that there was no mention of TCAS
f…k off to those who had commented by pulling the legs of countries. becoz the wrong was with the crew members and aircraft
@gio31brasil thanks for letting us know.I will definitely ask our Prime minister to have the brazilians teach us english………..
So that we sound like there’s shit stuck down the throat and a penis stuck in the ass..
why are people blaming indian communication? If you think Indian communication sucks in this accident,there probably you need improvement in your communiciation skills cause you dont understand what happened.
What happen to their TCAS? I’m sure the Boeing and IL have one……..That would warn pilots to emergency ascend or descend…………………
damnnnn…..180 million dollar radar system
RIP to all air crash victims..
