As a fan of Delta and the unsurpassed “family-type” customer service and focus on safety that was its hallmark, I understand, even though I was not there. (I visited the memorial that was unveiled at DFW today) So, although I watch every crash investigation, I find it almost impossible to watch Delta 191. I think it’s because the actual voices of the crew are heard, and you can observe the professionalism with which they carried out their duties to the end.
RIP all who perished.
This was the saddest day for Delta Airlines, customers and crew members. No one can understand how tragic this was unless you were there. Be thankful for Doplar Radar and our ability to recognize a micro burst before jets fly into one. microburst = death. God bless those who lost their life.
how can people cope with crashes
delta had 2 crashes in dfw!
i was hit by a microburst and there you go my plane went 200 nph but i landed it
What a sad Crash
This plane i flew from the late 70 to 2001. Me and Captain Conners Trained together. This plane all the way up to the early 90s had the best technology possible. Trust me if it was a different plane he wouldn’t have made it out. I have been hit with a microburst once and that was in ATL at 5,000 feet and i dived and got speed back thanks to my radar i made it out. I dived about 30 seconds before the microburst. Trust me the L-1011 had the best systems and weather radar.
wow i love the pilot… he so pro as a pilot, he know well about his plane but it a shame he stll use the old radar technology. if he still fly arround with our new techology and plane maybe… we have diffrent story
