Yeah, that is definitely not a Lockheed TriStar in the opening sequence. Fail.
i was catching an american airlines flight on that day with my mom. I was a kid back then lol. R.I.P.
Were you really on this flight?

Also on the METAR the temperature would not be reported in fahrenheit but in celsius so 38 degrees C
Regardless of mathematics, there is no such term in aviation as heading 620. END OF STORY.
Just like there is no such thing as 28 o’clock is terms of time.
Ever heard of modular arithmetic? Subtract 360 from 620 and you get 260.
No it’s not essentially the same. There is no such thing as 620…there are only 360 degrees on a compass FULL STOP!
It’s like saying the time is 47 o’ clock.
He really meant 260. It’s essentially the same as “620″.
DFW is big, but it’s not “the size of Manhattan”. A rare factual error for this excellent series.
August 1985
1983
Flown to Cyprus in the cockpit of one of those! Pilot, Co-Pilot, Engineer, Senior NCO Air Crew Training the engineer and me! Very snug fit lol!
@ameya379 It mightve been at the time size-wise. By passenger count, maybe #2 behind Chicago Ohare. Remember at that time, both Delta & American had hubs there.
thanks
actually it was the 90s when it was stopped
Thexderx. I think that it was ment 062 or so
Smoking was stopped in like the late 1980′s. I think it was like 1989 when it stopped.
3:34 I am sorry was this in 1945??? Who smokes on a plane D; unless this was in the 60s – very early 70′s
Lol Yeah. Amateurish
Must be overconfidence
4:45 ” Turn right heading 620″ WTF? There is no such thing as heading 620…there are only 360 degrees on a compass.. LOL
its always the most experienced pilots that are in crashes
