Air Car by Guy Negre on The Science Channel

Guy Negre of MDI Air Car engine that runs on compressed air. Emissions are only filtered air that’s cleaner than outside air. 300 bars of pressure in carbon-fibre & kevlar air tanks. Car can travel at 110 km/hr and has a 150 km driving range. Refilling can be done by plugging in at home or at a special high-pressure air station. Dual-energy models use small amounts of bio-fuels that can extend the range to over 1400 kms. Pollution free vehicle that produces zero emissions. When the car stops at traffic lights, the engine stops so no energy is lost because there’s no idling. Go to www.catvolution.com for more information. There are many more 2008 New York Auto Show videos with MDI’s OneCAT at ca.youtube.com

i like this idea and would like to see a lot more research done on it, but i must say…a 50 gallon 4,000+ psi tank! it better never get ruptured in and accident. it would turn that little thing into confetti, lol.

this car has to be a hoax… the US site has been taken down… they promised all these cute models and specs… and last year out of the blue they start promoting this gay ass looking airpod golf cart thing instead of focusing on the real vehicles that everyone wants… RED FLAG

fucking scam… they needed more capital, now they can try for another 10 years to build something feasible… i’d like to be wrong but the scientific details just don’t jive with the specs…

  13. AlexIsonSanders says:

    what’s that say?

  14. NHLHockeySkills says:

Or they can redesign the air car to become and electric/air hybrid so it can become a heavier car that may pass the safety test.

Who are the poor muts financing this project? I’ve know about it for 10 years – still none sold and no performance figures released. Some people have been “taken for a ride” – and it wasn’t in this vehicle.

  25. Xjkjk3264X says:

No, now-a-days it costs about 40 dollars.
