@Mrparrot73 I think this was before seat mounted lights to guide people to exits. The smoke was thick, so they couldn’t see. AC is great.

I know this is tragic…but i have to say.. Air Canada is that dumbfucking inefficient that they couldnt get 46 people out of the plane in 90sec? Also it seems to me the crew were the first to escape.

What the heck is with EMS?! They’re just standing around. The first officer runs to the Captain, not fire fighters?! Paramedics aren’t doing anything, if they’re even there. I don’t see people being removed an treated for shock. Come on!

@sa7272la DC Planes aren’t bad. I mean Boeing and Airbus planes aren’t always perfect. Stuff like this happens from time to time. For all we could know the A380 could have a fire like this tomorrow.

oh yeah another dc-9 valujet 592 also had a similair incident but that time, the pilots went unconscious and the plane crashed into the everglades and disintegrated on impact

btw Dc-9s are nice planes, but just a problem.
dc-3,4,6,7, 8,9, 10 & 11 are all fine commercial aircraft. Many are still flying as commercial carriers. The DC-9 was continued by Boeing once they bought the company. The DC-10 and MD-11 are fine aircraft. Pilots love the cabin. The US Air force uses the DC-10 as a tanker and the latest cargo plane the C-17 is a Douglas design. I dont see how you could back up your statment.

Remember the 717 was initially the MD-95
DC 10 sucks. Thank god McDonnel Douglas is out of business
