few factors played role in that accident.1st the Saudi B747 was scheduled to be fixed with a TCAS system but its turn wasnt due.Indian ATC was supposed to fix a Secondary Radar Sys which would be able to tell if an aircraft is not foolwing ATC insructions & could also display altitude data.Kazakhstani IL still have a language barier & still using the metric sys which only found in China & Russia.the rest of the world they use feet for altimeter sys.
@smoshrules459 if u follow the episode till the end, u will find the answer.the Kazakhstani IL-76 failed to maintain the assigned altitude by Delhi Approach controller and was actually flying same altitude as the Saudi B747 Jet.
@mcmotor101 ..it was just a Cargo airplane with i think 4-5 crew not so sure..but wasnt a passenger airplane.

Hmm. Obviously the two planes hit eachother, but they were supposed to be 1000 feet apart. Error somewhere.
at 4:10 i think that aroplane has a problem on its nose
it says the il-76 is a passenger jet, it was carrying 27 people. But I cant find any evidence of the il-76 being converted to a full passenger airliner, so was it carrying cargo with 27 crew or something?
